Think of it. Thousands of acres next to the Continental Divide with  a large resident elk herd year 'round.(That last statement has nothing to do with our camp, but it sounded good. ) With elevations from 8,000 ft to 10,500 ft, there is quite a varied terrain with WILD, FREE-ROAMING elk that tend to stay around year 'round. (That means nothing to us because we have a hard enough time walking the quarter mile we hunt on.)

Migrating herds heading to their winter feeding grounds from Arapaho National Forest, Routt National Forest and BLM land provide an equation that equals lots of elk funneling into our well known area. (again, irrelevant... we walk up and down the same hill everyday)

We all believe the reason we all hunt is for the experience. (Yea right, its the alcohol and ball busting) As all our guests quickly learn, your every need is met.  (not really, you will more than likely want to leave on the first day since we always make our first time Guest cut all the fire wood for the entire camp.) See example above .

From the field to the freezer; we have you covered. (That's if we can get the ATV down to your Elk with out the Game Warden seeing us. Even then you'll be doing most the work)

Accommodations are provided by our luxurious sectioned lodge complete with all amenities. (Its really an old Army tent with leaks)  Meals are hearty and delicious. (Just don't piss off the cook!) Despite the rigors of hunting in the West, most of our guests 'complain' they gain weight during their stay.  Hunts are fully guided by seasoned pros (more like lazy old men, but we work hard) who have years of big game hunting experience. (mostly illegal but it still counts)All of our guides are Colorado Natives(except the best one, and he lives in another state)  They know the land you will be hunting and the animals you will pursue.  (Ok we know how to get you back to camp. ) Most importantly, they truly delight in sharing their expertise with you. (Especially if you bring bring lots of 'Jack'!)
Our top three guides have a combined 5 years of elk hunting experience, the eldest being 45 years old. (these guys have a bit of elk blood coursing through their veins.) Add up all those elements and you have the best big game hunting in Colorado!
