Turkey Pennsylvania 2011

Well I got my turkey this morning, 22 lbs, 10.5” beard.  It was a great hunt, heard him gobble at 5:05am for the first time, by 5:30 I heard 8 different gobblers but decided to go after the first one I heard because he was double and triple gobbling.  I stopped counting his gobbles after 100 and that was around 6:10.  I tried all the calls that were in my jacket and did two fly downs, scratching leaves but still could not draw him out of the tree, it was 6:40 and I heard a Jake up and to my right, it was pretty funny listening to him try to gobble, and another bird below me gobbled.  Well this really got things going with Mr. Loud Mouth, at 7:00 I saw some movement out in front of me, put in my mouth call, started the camcorder and got ready.  After looking for a minute thru my binoculars I saw two long beards!!  Game On!!!!  I let them work their way towards me and gave to light clucks, that was the final sounds Mr. Loud Mouth heard!! 7:05 I had my spring gobbler!!!

 The video is pretty good until the shot, my camcorder screen closed from the recoil which shut off the camera, will work on getting the video out sometime today or this week.

 And BTW YES it was ONE SHOT!!!:)
